The truth is in the details With an exterior designed by Van der Valk, Valencia is a wonderful exemplar of the Flybridge line (formerly known as Continental Two). She was produced for a highly involved owner, who specifically requested several elements, including a superstructure with a modern, curved shape. Exterior Valencia’s flybridge is elegant and well-thought-through. The steering position is located forward on the centreline, and is surrounded by ample seating areas to port and starboard. There is a small pantry to port, while the aft section is home to a dinghy and WaveRunner with dedicated crane. Interior The classical interior by Guido de Groot Design consists of cherrywood with mahogany accents, and is characterised by beautiful materials, fabrics and leather upholstery. A traditional nautical colour scheme rests principally on blue & white accents and brass details. The interior very much reflects the choices of the owner, who was highly involved in the design. Main deck The main deck has several additional options for al fresco enjoyment: an outdoor dining part aft and a settee & sun pad section forward. However, as the main sailing area for the yacht will be the Baltic region, there are also a wealth of comfortable indoor spaces. The saloon features a large U-shaped settee to port that extends electrically to form a comfy lounge nest. This is positioned opposite a widescreen TV to starboard. The lounge area opens directly onto a dinette with extendable table to starboard and a semi-separated L-shaped galley to port. Further forward is the secluded indoor steering station with two helm seats, and a door on the port side that leads out to the gangway. This space also holds a chart table here, and a stair leading to the accommodations on the lower deck. Lower deck The stair initially leads to a den with two work stations and lots of communications equipment. This area also contains two large refrigerators and a washing machine/drier . It links directly to the VIP cabin in the forepeak and, looking aft, to the lower deck hallway, which connects to the two-berth guest cabin to port and a spacious bathroom with sauna to starboard. The master suite further aft is 5.6 metres wide and has its own bathroom to aft. There is an emergency exit from here to the engine room further aft. Valencia being an owner-operated yacht, she has no crew cabins. Equipment Valencia is blessed with a great deal of advanced equipment, including a Seakeeper 26 stabilizer, twin 26-kilowatt generators and triple Volvo Penta IPS 800 engines. She also features a night vision camera and a tender platform that can be lowered hydraulically.
